This month we went to the May Day Parade. Last year it was so cold you were bundled up and sleeping throughout most of the parade! This year, aside from getting a little bored waiting for the parade to start, you loved sitting in your own little chair and watching the festivities!
We had your 15 month appointment this month. During the appointment the doctor asked how many words you are able to say. Mommy and I just kind of looked at each other. We had never counted. She asked if you could say four or five (which is where you should be). "Uh, like 24 or 25," we said. When we got home we made a list - it was nearly 30 words! You definitely are not behind in your vocabulary!
You continue to love being outside whenever you can!
This month you seem to really be catching on to a lot of what we say. We say take something to the garbage? You do it.
One day you had pulled a box of oatmeal out of a cupboard and I asked you to put it away in the kitchen...which you did. I guess I didn't specify which kitchen!
You love to feed yourself these days! Your favorite foods seem to change on a daily basis, but this month black olives and peas seemed to be big winners!
As for toys, you continue to love your dolls and other stuffed animals. I recently started to look for a little tent for you that could sit in a corner and give you a place to hide if you wanted. I found a "tree" tent online. I had no idea how big it was until I went and picked it up and we got it set up in the living room. Let's just say the tree will not be taking up permanent residence in our house, but it will be making periodic appearances. You loved sitting in it while it was up! Love you, little lady!
