4 Months Old!

Happy 4-month birthday, beautiful girl!

This month has been full of exciting changes!

You now reach for toys and once you have them you hold tight!

You definitely cry more now than when we first brought you home.  You aren't afraid to let us know when you need something or when you aren't happy with where you are, but once we get things settled, you're back to being one of the chillest,

calmest,

happiest babies I know (I think you get that from your Mommy).

We had a busy month with lots of things to do!  You went to your first parade - the May Day Parade in Minneapolis!  It was sunny but breezy, so we kept you covered the whole time.  You were such a good girl and didn't even get scared by all the loud noises and music (in fact you slept through most of it!).

You also got to go to the Community of Peace Academy Walk and Run with Mommy (and hang out with your friend, Liv)!

You went to Aunt Enny's graduation!  You handled being in the hot sun like a champ!

You met a new friend, Teddy, this month and even got to go to your first bris (you were intrigued by this human, smaller than yourself)!

You had two different babysitters this month!  Aunt Enny watched you for a bit while mamas were at appointments, and Uncle Marge watched you one evening so Mommy and I could go to a movie!  She even brought mamas flowers (at your request) for Mother's Day!

As for things you like, you definitely have your favorite toys including your owl...

And glowworm!

You're also a fan of your new Eeyore (brought to you compliments of Kord) as well as your dumbbell rattle (compliments of Uncle Dejan - no picture of this one yet!).

You love to sit up!  You're able to hold your head up enough now to sit in your exersaucer.  You aren't able to move around much in it, but you love staring at the lights!

You love sitting in your Bumbo...

As for things you tolerate...You are okay with story time.  Usually we can get through 1 1/2 books before you've decided you've had enough.

You aren't a huge fan of tummy time but tolerate it much better now that you are stronger and are able to look around more.

You and Ellie remain friends.  It will be interesting to see how she reacts to you once you start  tugging on her fur!

You continue to be an AWESOME sleeper.  You typically sleep 9-10 hours a night.  Some nights that even stretches to 11 hours!  You are the cutest/prettiest sleeper (not that I'm biased or anything).  I love how you curl your hand up by your face and settle in...

Your favorite song this month is Istanbul.  Whenever it comes on you immediately light up and start dancing around.

You moved on up from eating 4 oz to 5 oz at a time.  Keep growing!

We love you so much and love watching you learn and grow every day.  Happy birthday, little lady!

Visit from the Family!

This week Aunt Cassi came to see you again and stayed for almost a whole week!  She loved to cuddle with you, and she is an EXPERT at picking out clothes for you :)  I wish she could be here all the time to dress you like a little fashionista!

Later in the week Aunt Robyn, Uncle Dejan, and Kord came to visit.  They drove all the way from Canada to see your little face!  I think it was love at first sight:

Kord loved taking care of you.  He made sure you had plenty of things to play with at all times:

We had a busy but fun weekend with our visitors.  Saturday we went to the Children's Museum!  We ended up being there for hours, and everyone had such a great time!  Kord loved posing as a manager...

And figuring out how to get the ball where he wanted it to go (with a little help from dad).

Aunt Cassi had fun with the dinosaurs...

And then she did a little fishing...

Before finally settling down for a nap...

You were such a champ the whole day.

And were especially happy when we discovered the infant and toddler room!

Sunday we headed to the Mall of America.  Kord loved going on all the rides, and we loved watching him!

Once again you were the picture of perfection - just going with the flow the whole day without much of a fuss (even when Mama and Aunt Robyn almost dumped you down the stairs...oops!  Don't tell Mommy!).

Monday morning Mama took Aunt Cassi to the airport and then you and I met Aunt Robyn, Uncle Dejan, and cousin Kord for breakfast before saying goodbye to them as well.  It was a busy weekend, but so much fun - I wished we lived closer!
